Can we get back to the 90's and 80's Hip Hop?

Seriously Hip Hop over the last few years has decreased in quality so much, that it's been hard to listen to the radio the past five or so years. Does anyone out there feel me? I mean even when somebody does put out a good album these days, it becomes so commercialized and "I got money" that the original message the rapper is tarnished. Even the beats sound like garbage these days. I honestly give new rap a listen to see if it's any good, with an open mind, because I love hip hop but this is getting ridiculous.

Like in my previous post hopefully 2009 will be a great year for hip hop, but could it be the LAST year for hip hop? Is hip hop dead? I mean this debate has been going on for a while no, I say no. But at this rate, it's definitely on it's way to dying. The whole "Hip hop is dead" talk started in the early 2000's which were a bad time for hip hop, but there were gems that came out and the scene got revived. Now it's looking even grimmer, what do you all think? What do you all listen to these days?

50 Cent and Rick Ross have some serious beef!

Serious beef between 50 cent and Rick Ross has started! There has already been several diss tracks exchanged. 50 cent has came out with a track called "Officer Ricky", a jab at Rosses former law enforcement ties. 50 cent has also been taking shots at Lil Wayne as well. 50 cent today said he vowed to destroy Rick Ross in an interview. While beef is sometimes good for the industry, it can get ugly. Remember Biggie and Tupac anyone?
Below is a Rick Ross interview explaining exactly why he has beef with 50 Cent.
